I can't believe I've never stopped here before! Their small and simple corner store location is such a gem!
To start everyone who works there is sweet as can be!
I had the veggie pita which was everything I wanted and more!
~the perfectly thin sliced and fried eggplant made this little Italian girl so happy!
I also splurged on a box of pastries...... because they all look so amazing! I'll give an update on these bad boys once I eat them all
Today may have been my first time in, but it will certainly not be my last!
Let's just say, I found my new favorite Greek place! -

A friend of mine told me that I had to try this place out. She said I to go at lunch because is only open during work hours and not on the weekend. To me, if you can afford to not be open on the weekend and still make money, I have got to try this place out!
Putting it lightly, this place is the best. A little mom and pop Greek eatery with authentic Greek food. I always like going to Greek restaurants with someone who is Greek to make sure it's legit. And this place is legit.
The inside is tiny so I wasn't surprised when I saw a lot of people taking food to-go. It's a perfect spot for the hospital staff at Holy Cross as well as patients and people like me who will drive there for an amazing and quick lunch.
We sat down and our nice waitress came over. I tried the chicken, rice and lemongrass soup. Holy crap it was amazing. The rice and lemon flavoring with nice chucks of chicken. The lemon was just the right about too. Perfection. Next was the chicken gyro which probably was the best gyro I've ever eaten- ever. And I love chicken gyros. The chicken had the perfect texture and the right amount of sauce. I devoured it. Like seconds later it was gone.
Once you eat you pay at the front and someone quickly takes your seat because seating is in high demand there. I love it here. I love seeing how hard these people work because they love their business. I wish every business was like Greek Pastries & Deli because the service and food are out of this world! -

You are always greeted with a smile and pleasant salutation. At my last visit, I had the last lamb shank with orzo. One of the best lamb I've ever eaten. To top it off I met the chef, George. He and his family are lovely. The pastries are the topping on the cake!

Think of honey laced ecstacy for the tongue. This place is both a pastry shop and a deli and don't ask me which one is better. Hey vegetarians: they have vegetarian gyros here! It's a small place with limited seating the hours will make it impossible for most people to get here (M-F 8:30am to 4pm) but if you do make it, get ready to be impressed. Staff here knows what Greek food should taste like and they serve it up with hospitality and a smile. What a great place to skip work for.

OMG this place incredible! We are visiting Fort Lauderdale for the week and are incredibly sad we found this gem on our last day here. We had a Greek Bakery back home for years and it closed several years ago, so I was very excited to try this one. The staff was extremely helpful and made sure we got the best of everything. We had a George's heavenly pie with custard inside and it was absolutely dream worthy. My other favorite was the warm spinach pie I had and my husband had a warm eggplant pie. We loved every bite. When we come back we will definitely stop in again.
